The Key to answered Prayers

But if you stay joined to me and my words remain in you, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted! John 15:7 (NLT)

When you obey me, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father and remain in his love. John 15:10

Those who obey God’s commandments live in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Holy Spirit lives in us. 1 John 3:24

Rest easy, stop trying to fix it.  We do our part to love and obey God. His job is to do the rest.  He is in complete control.  Relax!

What’s for you is for you

His was the prophecy Balaam delivered: “Rise up, Balak, and listen! Hear me, son of Zippor. God is not a man, that he should lie. He is not a human, that he should change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through.  I received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot reverse it! No misfortune is in sight for Jacob; no trouble is in store for Israel. For the LORD their God is with them; he has been proclaimed their king.  God has brought them out of Egypt; he is like a strong ox for them.
Numbers 23:18-22 NLT

Balak wanted Balaam to put a curse on the nation of Israel.  He was afraid of them.  Balaam considered it for a second until the Lord dealt with him on the request of Balaak.  If you read the book of Numbers, Balaam let Balak know that God had blessed the nation of Israel and he could not curse them.  God directly used Balaam to do the opposite of what Balaak asked.  He blessed them instead of cursing them.

The enemy will try to curse us.  He tries over and over to defeat you.  When God’s blessing and favor are on your life, there is nothing the enemy can do it about it.  It may look like the enemy has one up on you, but he does not.  What God has for you is for you.

Make no mistake, the nation of Israel deserved to be cursed, but God loved his people so he used their enemy to bless them.  Did you catch that?

God used the nation of Israel’s enemy to bless them.

God will use your enemies to bless you.  Psalm 23:5 says he will prepare a table or feast for me in the presence of my enemies.  You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs overflows. This is not a fable or old testament folk tale.  I’ve experienced this many times and continue to see God bless me in front of my enemies.  In fact, I’ve seen my foe come back to offer gifts.

Don’t get discouraged if you feel the enemy has one-uped you.  Stay focused on who God is and who you belong  to.  Whatever blessing God has in store for your life, know that it can not be cursed by anyone.  The devil can try all he wants but the blood of Jesus covers all, and redeems all.

I have faced every challenge, trial, persecution, tribulation, and so on.  However, when I see this scripture in the book of Numbers; I’m reminded of what the old folks used to say “oh won’t he do it”.

Whatever  your trusting God for your life, stand firm in your faith.  Stand tall, stay the path and know that whats for you is for you.  Nothing and no one can block Gods blessing and favor on your life.  Through hell and hight water what’s for you is for you.

Be Blessed!

Carefully build yourselves up

In the last days there will be people who don’t take these things seriously anymore. They’ll treat them like a joke, and make a religion of their own whims and lusts.” These are the ones who split churches, thinking only of themselves. There’s nothing to them, no sign of the Spirit! But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life! Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith.
Jude 1:18-22 MSG

Which way to go

Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before.  Joshua 3:4 NIV

If you need guidance and direction in life God will give it to you.  I believe that God does instruct his children in the way they should go.  I’m the type that questions God for everything.  I enjoy hearing from him. I want his opinion and direction.  If it’s not from God it’s a sin pattern or sinful choice.  I can’t afford to keep making choices without him.  It has been costly in my life.

It doesn’t matter what your up against or facing, God wants to lead you.  In fact, your well meaning intentions may not be Gods will for your life.  Did you hear that? Your well meaning thoughts, plans, and decisions may be sabotaging Gods plan for your life.  This revelation shook me to my core.

To obey is better than sacrifice,
